Hanold Associates recruited Lisa Schlafmann as the Director for Global Pensions, Asia for Cummins. Kile Hanold and Karlis Antons led the search for the role located at Cummins’ headquarters located in Columbus, IN.

Cummins Inc. is a global power leader that designs, manufactures, distributes and services diesel and alternative fuel engines and engine-related technologies. Their products include fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems.

The company sells their products to original equipment manufacturers, distributors and other customers worldwide and serves their customers through a network of approximately 600 company-owned and independent distributor locations and more than 7,200 dealer locations in more than 190 countries and territories.

Cummins was founded in 1919 by Clessie Cummins, an Indiana mechanic, who built his first steam engine at the age of 11. Headquartered in Columbus, Indiana, they employ over 55,000 people worldwide. 2017 revenues were $20.4 billion.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Compensation & Benefits, Ms. Schlafmann will be primarily responsible for the design and delivery of a broad range of employee retirement benefit strategies and programs for all employee groups globally. This includes post-retirement benefit plans ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and company policies and practices. She will translate corporate business strategies to ensure retirement benefits programs and processes are aligned with the organization’s strategies and support the overall workforce while considering the complexity of varying plans, regional trends and employment laws around the world.
