Hanold Associates Recruits Head of HR North America for Travelzoo

Hanold Associates recruited Angelo Apollos as the Head of HR North America for Travelzoo. Neela Seenandan, and Katrina Prospero led the search for the role based in New York City.

Travelzoo employs nearly 500 across the world, with more than 200 in North America.

Founded in 1998 by Ralph Bartel, Travelzoo has been dedicated to recommending the best deals from the best companies with demanding quality standards. They pride themselves on never recommending deals they wouldn’t book themselves, researching every Top 20 deal before publication, and for maintaining independence in reviews. By expanding these priories throughout the business, Travelzoo went public in 2003 and counts more than $100M in revenue today. The company’s worldwide growth has been entirely self-financed.

Mr. Apollos joins Travelzoo from CA Technologies. Reporting into the Global Head of Business Services, Stephen Dunk (a direct report of their Global CEO), he will support Travelzoo’s North America leadership team which is comprised of two general managers in North America, as well as the functional heads of Service, Finance, Technology and Product positions based in North America.

Tasked with leading a team of seven in human resources and overseeing the HR function, Mr. Apollos will be the critical leader of talent acquisition across 10 offices in the U.S. and Canada. The Human Resources department’s foremost priority is bringing strong assessment rigor and process to all hiring decisions for the organization. As the Head of HR, he will partner with the business leaders to create a streamlined talent function across the organization that will attract, develop and retain high potential talent who represent the Travelzoo brand and culture.
