Hanold Associates Recruits Vail Resort’s Vice President of Talent

Hanold Associates has recruited Vail Resort’s Vice President of Talent, David Van Rooy. Ashley Schiele, Mayank Parikh and Jason Hanold managed the search for this Denver area-based position.

David Van Rooy joins Vail Resorts from Walmart Stores in the US, and more recently in Canada, where he led their Talent Development efforts. Reporting to Chief Human Resources Officer, Lynanne Kunkel, Mr. Van Rooy will be responsible for driving Vail Resorts’ enterprise-wide talent development vision, strategy and programs. Talent development at Vail includes talent and succession planning, learning and leadership development, team and organization development, performance management and culture and employee experience/engagement. This role is instrumental in developing a high performance/high-potential talent ecosystem that creates a sustainable leadership pipeline across all of Vail Resorts divisions, functions, and properties. As a frequent acquirer of resorts around the world, the VP of Talent plays a key role in leading M&A diligence and cultural integrations of acquired resorts.
