Sagent Pharmaceuticals has retained Hanold Associates for their Senior Human Resources Manager search based in the Greater Chicago area. Sonia Nagra and Sandra Peña are leading the search.
Sagent Pharmaceuticals is one of the fastest growing providers of specialty generic pharmaceuticals in the US market. The company develops, manufactures, sources and markets approximately 60 essential specialty injectable products across multiple categories, including anti-infective, oncology and critical care.
The company was founded in 2006 and released its first injectable product in 2007. After being publicly traded from 2011 to 2016, all outstanding stock in Sagent was acquired by Nichi-Iko Pharmaceuticals, a top Japanese generic pharmaceutical company of which Sagent is now a wholly owned subsidiary. Sagent is headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, and has created a global network, including maintaining manufacturing facilities throughout the US and Canada. The company has acquired whole facilities and controlling stakes in several others in Raleigh, North Carolina; upstate New York; and Montreal, Canada, to grow its product portfolio and expand internal manufacturing capabilities. Across all facilities, Sagent employs approximately 600 people.
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources for Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Wanda McKenny, the Senior Human Resources Manager will oversee the day to day operations of the Human Resources Department. As an individual contributor, this leader will serve as the right hand to the VP of HR. As a leader of the HR function s/he will work to develop and implement best-in-class human resources policies and processes, drive a culture of excellence and improve all aspects of people management throughout the Sagent organization.
